Chamber summer concerts

UPDATED July 17: The following information is from the Arlington Chamber of Commerce.


Whittemore Park's summer concert series began Wednesday, July 10, at 6:30 p.m., with Backpocket, a Boston band playing a mix of blues, soul, funk and rock.

The following concert was postponed due to inclement weather, and the next is slated for July 24. The performance is expected to be the local rock and blues band, 2-Mile Radius: The group is comprised of Ryan Barrett (drums), Bill Jaeger (keyboards), Ben Moynihan (lead guitar), Andy Pockrose (bass), and Jeff Pyle (harmonica and rhythm guitar). 


Chambers of commerce from several communities, including Arlington, plan to host a pizza and comedy night, Thursday, July 25, at Giggle Comedy Club (517 Broadway, Saugus). 

Tickets are priced at $40 and the show is scheduled from 6:30 through 8 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. According to the Arlington Chamber of Commerce newsletter, tickets include unlimited pizza and soda both before and during the show. There is expected to be a cash bar; this event is for those 21 years and older, only.

Mind's Eye Yarns Ribbon Cutting: The new business, Mind's Eye Yarn, which sells yarn, needles, notions and spinning wheels, celebrated its opening in Arlington Center, 459 Mass. Ave. 

Arlington Town Day 2024: Booth Applications Deadline Aug. 1

Town Day is scheduled this year Sept. 21 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
